Why I do branding packages, not self-standing logos

Long story short: branding creates your business’s personality and a logo is simply your signature.

Whenever you take a leap into the unknown and decide to open a business, one of the first things you realize you need is a logo.

A logo is your brand’s signature and is a necessary part of building your business. But, when it comes to successfully setting up my clients for success in terms of their visuals, they really need to be looking at branding.

We’ve all seen it: the brand that seems to have no consistency on social media. They use 12 different colors and 8 different fonts. They obviously use stock photos. Often their posts look like advertisements.

Lack of branding examples:

On the flip side, a business with powerful branding will have a post show up in your feed and you know it’s from them without having to look at the handle.

Strong branding in action:

When there is clear branding, you recognize the brand. Each time you recognize the brand, you build a relationship with that brand.

A relationship is necessary for clients to feel comfortable enough to take the plunge (purchase). It makes them feel like they know you.

What’s included in a branding package?

In my Intuitively-Led Design (my unique approach to branding) I include the following elements:

  • Consulting (creative direction, video chats, brand consulting)

  • Moodboard (imagery direction and on-brand stock imagery)

  • Logo Suite (primary logotype, secondary logo, badge, every logo in every file type and colorspace)

  • Brand Colors (color styling, CMYK, HEX)

  • Typography (typography selection, typography styling)

  • 2 Revisions
